» Fashion logistics and garment processing specialists Prima Distribution have taken delivery of a unique Volvo FM rigid truck, which offers seamless transition between pallet, carton and hanging garment transport. The FM-300 4x2 vehicle features bespoke bodywork by Ekeri of Finland and will act as proof of concept for the Crewe-based operator, whose customers include New Look, Arcadia, Tesco, Asda and Debenhams.

» Volvo Trucks, through its Dealer Volvo Truck and Bus Centre East Anglia, has co-operated with the market leaders in sweeping technology, Aebi Schmidt UK, to create a state-of-the art demonstrator vehicle. The specially-adapted Volvo FL-240 is equipped with an Aebi Schmidt SK600 sweeper unit and is already in high demand with a wide range of potential users.

» Volvo Trucks has announced that, from 24th December 2008, the company’s Used Truck Retail Sales Operation at Coventry will be devolved to the existing depots at Bedford and Didcot, Kettering, Hayes, Enfield and Avonmouth and the new Dealerpoint at Bardon (Leics.). Used Truck Sales staff will be based out of the Dealerpoints.
